I'm sympathetic with anyone and everyone who feels the pinch of inflation, but in the long run, a registration of one's work with the USCO is one of THE most useful things one can do, as a photographer. This fee increase should not be a deterrent.
The cost for a group registration goes from US$55 to US$85. Sounds slightly less dramatic already than "55% increase", does it? :P
I do four of these per year... so that's an increase of US$120 per year, for a new total of US$340. It's not outrageously expensive. From a business perspective, it's an expense that gets written off.
