  1. Out at 8 am. Same walking route as last Thursday, five minutes slower. Blame the heat.

  2. Shorter walk today 3½ miles, but a little faster.

Round by the Roundhouse which is closed for refurbishment, meaning throwing out everything that made it a pub and inserting a load of tasteless bling.

  3. Barking Barrage and back by roundabout routes.

5.2 miles (8.37km) in 2 hours 25 minutes so an average speed of 2.15 mph (3.46kph), only 80% of what Google claims the average walker would do.

    It didn't rain. Legs ache.

  4. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that walking exactly the same route as yesterday was done in exactly the same time. 🤔

  5. Warmer today, less windy, did what has become my usual 'long' 4.8 mile walk in shirt sleeves deliberately slowly so as not to trigger cramps in my legs.

And guess what: 2 hour 10 minutes, a totally usual time, not slow at all. Weird.

  6. Walkies today. 4.8 miles (7.72 km), 2 hours 10 minutes, 2.22 mph (3.57 kmp), 80.14% of Googles estimated speed to walk.

  7. Shorter today, 3.2 miles (5.15 km). I ought to be creased after yesterday's walk but no, done at the same 2.4 mph (3.86 kph) and through some quirk of Google Maps very slightly closer, 88.89% of what it reckons an average walker would do.
