Kings of Tupelo on Netflix is… a trip. Absolutely wild “couldn’t make this shit up” kind of shit.
It _starts_ with “paranoid Elvis impersonator mails poison to the President” and then every 15-20 minutes it peels back another, completely ridiculous layer. It’s a non-stop march of “no, don’t do it, don’t tell me there’s another twist.”
It’s like most ridiculous #Fiasco or #UnknownArmies campaign with that one player who is not on the same page as everyone else.

#UnknownArmies is one of my all-time favorite RPGs & the 3rd edition was one of the boldest re-imaginings of an RPG I've ever seen, esp. in the company of its other "dream of the 90s is alive on Kickstarter" brethren.
#BundleOfHolding has a deal for the core books and some adventure-focused supplements for $18, which is an absolute steal.
This is a game that manages to be gritty, surreal, philosophical, and emotional all at once. Must-have for any urban occult fan.

I'm running an #UnknownArmies #TTRPG campaign, and was looking at my #DeltaGreen books as I was thinking about what I'd run next. And I was struck by how uninterested I've become in the existential hopelessness of the latter's setting. Unknown Armies is dark and grimy and has plenty of bad people doing bad things, but its core is quite human and hopeful. There was a time I loved the cosmic nihilism of Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green, but, for a lot of reasons, I now very much bounce off of it.

See, I miiiight give a try to running #UnknownArmies for my gaming group at the end of the summer, maybe for 1-2 sessions.
The thing is, I've never actually played the game (though I've got the 1st ed corebook), and the game's so big and weird I honestly don't know what a "standard" UA game looks like?
So yeah, any suggestions/one shot ideas would be quite welcome!
