For the second December in a row, a Yellow-browed Warbler turned up within a mile of my house. A Firecrest was a nice bonus too!
This one was zipping about by a public path mostly in Willow.

A rather splendid morning out with the three Daves - DB, DL & DS. Some good banter and some lovely #birds - I suppose the highlight were the 18 White-fronted Goose at Dart's Farm. But a male Kingfisher and Raven got me smiling.

I had just put some mealworm out on the bird table for the birdies and this guy turned up and waited patiently for them to arrive. He's waiting ON the bird table.
He stayed for two and a half hours! Funnily enough, no other birdies came to the table.
I do hope he gets something to eat. Everything needs sustenance.

We were hearing some unfamiliar #bird calls this afternoon.
Liz grabbed some binoculars to track it down, which led us to finding out there are a pair of #kestrels and likely some chicks at the top of the local tower block.
I got my #telescope out and was able to get the female in its sights while she was having a long sit.
