@heavyimage thx! The heavy lifting was done by Anthropic’s #Fable model. I just remembered running #uClinux on my Palm III way back in Y2K era and wanted to revisit it. I started out hoping I could just get the old uClinux tree compiling again with a modern compiler, but with #noMMU being mainlined and Daniel Palmer’s work on device tree support for #68000 arch, I was able to get the latest kernel up and running in relatively short order!

I just got the 7.2 #Linux #nommu kernel booting on both my #Palm IIIxe and my Visor — both equipped with stowaway keyboards, making it reasonably usable. #uclinux #68000 #dragonball #pda
