It's the day before Christmas Eve. Leo is testifying and recounting Bartlet's journey to the White House as the House tries to determine who knew what and who lied and what in regard the President's MS. Flashbacks to the Governors house and to the campaign HQ (which weirdly seems to be meeting in Luke's Diner).

Josh wants to get Gibson out of the room before he questions Leo, in the end Cliff Calley saves the day.

The adminstration is discombobulated by Senator Stackhouse's unexpected and extended filibuster. In flashback we see him try to convince Josh Lyman to keep funds for early diagnosis of autism in the family welfare bill. Unsuccessful he stages a filibuster. Realising why Bartlet enlists other grandfather-Senators help him to stall the bill till it could be reworked.

A reminder how much we have learned about autism in the 25 years since Sorkin wrote this episode #TWW

And Mandy (ugh) wants to take a republican as a client and seems outraged and shocked that this might be a problem for the administration, proving she really is very bad at her job.

Meanwhile Bartlet as called in John Lord Marbury, who believes Leo to be a butler named Gerald, to assist the India situation.
