    Hello Mastodon, I'm in crisis and I need your help.

    My name is Ellis (Joan E. Burgos), and I am a trans Latina therapist. I am making an emergency exit from an unsafe and emotionally damaging living situation for my immediate physical and emotional safety.

    I have a full career plan: I'm in the final stages of my LPC license application to work as a therapist in Pittsburgh. Some of you may have seen my GoFundMe campaign that successfully put together the funds I needed to get that done! But I've reached a point where my current home environment is taking an unbearable toll, and I must leave now, before I am financially ready.

    I am fundraising $8,500 for a 3-month survival and safety buffer. This is my entire cost for:

    ❇️ Housing Security (Deposit + 1st Month)
    ❇️ Cross-country moving logistics
    ❇️ A 3-month living cushion (food, medicine, utilities)
    ❇️ A small contingency fund for fees & emergencies
