Uff.. HC is now offering to form a committee with retired sc judges to resolve #TSRTCstrike

This is not the first time they issued a Government Order prohibiting strikes though. These are just some of the notifications in the gazette. This is a standard operating procedure for the government. Wait for the unions to organize, sense they are going to give strike notice, issue a GO and circular prohibiting strikes. Government of Telangana notified Motor Transport Industry in the state a "Public Utility Service" under Industrial Disputes Act 2019. In a government order issued later, the government prohibited strikes in TSRTC for a period of six months using ESM Act. But, ESM Act requires the state government to notify TSRTC as essential service. was this notification done ? If not, how can the government claim strike is illegal ? 3/4 #SaveTSRTC #TSRTCstrike

After all this, I have just one question. Did the state government miss or chose to ignore section 47(A) of the RTC Act ? If they missed it, WTF. If they chose to ignore it, why ? 8/8 #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

Coming back to how #TSRTC was formed. The government order clearly mentions the corporation is formed under section 3 of the RTC Act. Does this mean #TSRTC was formed from scratch and it has no claim on assets of erstwhile APSRTC ? 7/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

More on role of GoI : Section 47(A) of the RTC Act 1950 facilitates (?) re constitution/ dissolving of the corporation while re organizing a state. So this means GoI 's claim that they were not consulted is true ? 6/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

Now, section 71 of the AP re organization act and role of GoI in all this. From what I understand, liabilities have been divided. There is still no clarity on assets in Hyderabad. So it might be right to claim division is incomplete ? 5/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

Section 68 of the AP re organization act mentions section 53 of the same act. It explains how they should function. All operational units = depots in Telangana became part of the Road Transport Corporation in Telangana until #TSRTC was formed 4/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

How was #TSRTC functioning till then ? Section 68 of the AP reorganization act allows corporations to function in both states. Practically, this meant the corporation (APSRTC) was maintaining two accounts, splitting earnings EOD, every day 3/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC

Government of Telangana established #TSRTC under section 3 of RTC Act 1950, in April 2016. This is almost two years after re organization of the state. So, TSRTC does exist. But as a new corporation 2/N #TSRTCstrike #SaveTSRTC
