Pretty interesting mix of #progmetal #heavymetal and #trashmetal straight from Japan. I didn't see it coming but I'm really surprised. I can't remember when was the last time I found some good #metal from Japan. Halfway through I have to admit, that I'm not completely fine with the whole album, still it can grow on me.

ist eine schwedische Melodic-Death-Metal-Band aus Stockholm. THE OVERTHRONE haben eine EP und ein Album veröffentlicht, sind durch Europa getourt und haben 2022 beim Wacken Festival gespielt. THE OVERTHRONE strebt danach, immer größer zu werden und der wunderbaren Welt des Metals mit Live-Shows und neuer Musik etwas zurückzugeben. Inspiriert von der schwedischen Melodic-Death-Metal-Szene, die dank revolutionärer Bands wie IN FLAMES, AT THE GATES, ARCH ENEMY und anderen weltweit Anerkennung gefunden hat, strebt THE OVERTHRONE danach, eines Tages Teil dieser Liste zu werden. Die Band erhielt unglaubliches Feedback für ihre erste EP „The Plague“ und ihr Album „Bloodmoon“. Songs aus beiden Veröffentlichungen wurden in die redaktionellen Playlists von Spotify aufgenommen, darunter „New Blood“ und „New Metal“. Nach zwei Jahren ohne neue Veröffentlichung melden sich THE OVERTHRONE endlich mit einer neuen Single zurück. „Bug Hunt“ ist jetzt auf allen Plattformen erhältlich. ist eine schwedische Melodic Death/Thrash-Metal-Band mit starkem Songwriting, eingängigen Hooks und energiegeladenen Live-Auftritten! Ursprünglich hieß die Band „VILDVITTRA“, basierend auf den Figuren, die Astrid Lindgren im Rahmen von „Ronja Rövardotter“ erschuf. Später wurde der Name zu VITTRA, inspiriert von den Fabelwesen aus schwedischen Volksmärchen. Obwohl schwedischer Folk ein wiederkehrendes Thema in ihrer Musik ist, ist die Band fest im Melodic Death und Thrash Metal verwurzelt, angelehnt an AT THE GATES, DISSECTION und MEGADETH. Am 19. September erscheint ihr zweites Album „Intense Indifference“. Aufgenommen wurde das Album mit Simon Johansson bei SolnaSound Recording (SOILWORK, WITHCHERY, OMNIUM GATHERUM), gemischt und gemastert von Lawrence Mackrory bei Rorysound Recording (LIK, BLOODBATH, KATATONIA). Das Cover stammt von Hjules (ACCEPT, DESTRUCTION, JUNGLE ROT). I'm a big proponent of owning #physicalmedia. People think I'm crazy, but in a world of streaming media you have to remember access to your favorite movie, TV show, or album can be taken away at any time without warning. It happens all the time; so much so that news websites publish articles every month about the latest movies coming and going from Netflix. I love my collection of #metal #CDs and #cassettes and couldn't imagine not having access to them. It's a shame most people don't share this opinion. Hopefully, this will change one day before it's too late.
