out and about in skintight jeans and dont have to give a single thought to tuck or bulge or anything
all is not right in the world but it sure feels like it sometimes these days

is the opposite of a jump scare a jump delight?
anyway i just jump delighted myself in the mirror.
i just get to look like this. :D

so apparently walking around pride festival with casual body confidence is… absolutely everything?
like it seems very possible to me right now that this was actually the entire point of gender transition and always was.
that was literally a religious experience.
happy pride, everybody.

feeling at home in one's own body is kind of fucking excellent. i highly recommend it.
i strolled home from workout in a crop top and short shorts. i did not look hot (except literally), but i felt amazing: like i fit inside my life, in this place, on this day.
is this what it feels like when im "just living my life" like my trans elders kept telling me was on the other side of transition? its lovely. i could do this for… well, the rest of my life.

You know a gender affirming moment I had earlier today while I was out was I was by the bridge by a river, equitable view, I rested my arms on the bridge and instinctually (yet unintentionally) stuck by butt out and just leaned onto the bridge while admiring the view. This + the clothes I'm wearing made me feel SO euphoric and feminine. It was just so gender affirming despite not talking to anyone, and was just by myself. I was just happy how cute I was...
Sometimes it's the simple things that can be the best gender euphoria. :akko_excited:

Put on makeup today despite the fact that I haven't decided whether I will be going out later.
I just like it when the nice old lady who lives in my mirror looks her best. I think I shall make this routine from now on.
Also if I wait until I've decided to go out to put on makeup, it makes it a disincentive to leave the flat. This way, it's "Oh, I might as well; I've already got my face on."

i've had a very gender euphoria day.
i'm sure it has nothing to do with the crop tops i've been wearing.

You know one of my greatest repeating GEM is when I go into town to do something and I accidental turn it into a "girl's afternoon out" and by the end of it I've tried on some new clothes, bought some of them, had lunch at a (local/independent) coffee shop and I have a beverage from said coffee shop in my free hand, and I just realised what has happened and it leaves me feeling so giddy and euphoric! I feels like I get to experience a teenagehood that I probably liked more then what I had during my AGAB-era. :apartyblobcat:
It times like these where I forget about the stress put upon me by the job centre and really enjoy life. Being a (demi)girl rules! :akko_excited:

Early #GEM #transGEM for this week!
First walk of the year in spring-ier clothing. And I got gendered correctly! An elderly lady at a convenience store told her husband to move aside because the lady couldn't move past otherwise.
Spoiler alert: I was the lady!
Granted, I couldn't have signalled my womanhood any harder with my presentation without putting a bow in my hair (it *would* match my fit today...) and blasting "Barbie Girl" from a boombox.
I'll take it though!
Also, Goddess have I missed wearing sheer black tights. It's been too long.
Also, I was passing a middle aged couple with a kid and the lady stopped for a split second (reacting to her husband pointing me out to her, judging by her body language), assessed my look, and immediately said "great!" with what sounded like moderate but genuine enthusiasm.
Was she probably responding to something her husband or kid said and not to me? Probably!
But in a rare moment of self confidence I am choosing to assume she commented on my getup.

At the risk of making everything about my gender:
I'm on a bus home from derby practice. Monday practice takes place in Bumfuck, Nowhere, so there's only one person on the bus other than me, a young woman.
She smiled at me when I got on the bus, in a way a woman does not smile at a strange man, much less at someone who seems off or threatening.
And a little later she asked if I had a phone charger.
It's a very normal interaction without any deeper levels. Which is precisely why it made my heart jump for joy. Despite being very obviously non passing, I was read as a woman, and not a suspicious one (y'know, not "woman with an asterisk", as trans women sometimes are). And it was subtly reinforced by interaction. Intentionally, I think.
That's seriously all I need from the cises! Be friendly, show me I'm not hated, and if you can't muster that, leave me alone.
I don't want "special treatment", as TERFs claim. I want treatment as unspecial as imaginable. That's. The. Point.
This seriously made my evening :3

I still can’t get over how curvy and full my butt is these days… Oestrogen is truly amazing! :ablobcathappypaws:

when you spend your life knowing that you can do a "silly dance" by gyrating your nonexistent hips and shaking your flat boy-shaped butt and then after a few years of gender transition you do the same exact motions that always came across as silly dork material but what your reflection in the mirror does actually looks damn good

the first wife compliment of the day, "oh you look pretty" as i'm getting ready for work... it's genuine, but it marks the baseline.
when i score the second, follow-up wife compliment of "i know i already said so, but you're looking especially fine today" is how we know we really did well today

me getting dressed: the last time i wore this top, i felt like everybody was looking at my tits all day, but i was probably imagining things.
me, five minutes into my work day: okay so i was not imagining things

Finally writing a #transgendereuphoriamonday post on Monday and then forgetting to finish writing and then post it until Tuesday.
Spending the long weekend in REDACTED with two lovely trans ladies. It was wonderful to just be me around friends and not worry about whether I’m performing womanhood well enough for people who’ve known me for years pre-transition.
I also introduced one of my friends to the joys of really good mocktails (^_^)

Oh geez, I've kinda fallen out of #TransGEM Mondays...
But here's what happened this week - the moment I walked into the office, I got a "I love your coat!" comment!
It might seem innocuous, but it's the dusty-pink duster coat that I got for the Holidays. It stands out. It's beautiful. 💖
