My favorite college professor, James Vick, has died.
I had the great fortune of taking the first two semesters of calculus with him, then a couple of one-on-one topic-specific courses: one on Cayley-Dickson constructions and one on homological algebra.
I don't have enough space here to say all of the things I'd like to, but he is one of the people who had an out-sized positive impact on my life.
