  1. @sbrl In flipped classrooms, students work through lecture material on their own, and meet their lecturer for joint exercise work. Then, the lecturer is around to discuss, to provide feedback. There are lots of meta-studies on the effectiveness of different interpretations of “flipping”, with mixed results. I currently experiment with “Fail, flip, fix, and feed” of [1] (without significant changes in exam results, but with more fun in the classroom). If you are interested, my teaching statement [2] explains my approach with more references.

  4. 1️⃣ 5️⃣ I have the feeling that everything that was done before in transmission spectroscopy was in the dark. Now with #JWST, we entered into the light and all the serious things will start now.

Huge congrats to the #ERS transit team, led by @nbatalha and all the folks behind. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I am eager to see more results now ...

  6. We are now 3 years later, this is the next opportunity to observe that event which ended up to be (almost) a complete fiasco last time. The visibility of the star is much lower than in 2019, but we can still do something. However, this is really the unique opportunity we have to observe this even over the 2020's decade.

So, please keep your fingers crossed for clear skies, no technical issues, and for good data.

    #ThreadEND THANKS !!
