The main issue still with #GamingOnLinux: 9/10 times "it just works". And really, it does! It's great!
But when it doesn't... Let's say I just lost 2 days of my live getting #TheSims4 to run on my #SteamDeck again due to it breaking on the latest EA app. Couldn't find a fix yet online, so had to test some stuff myself and come up with my own solution. Uploaded the whole procedure to #ProtonDB, so with the next content refresh it should be public.
But really, people who aren't as deep into it Linux and the technical side of gaming on it likely wouldn't have figured out how to make it run. My eventual fix made sense if you know how Wine and Linux work, it's not that complex once you got the answer. But for a random gamer who's not further into the topic (and just wants to play anyways)? A bit much to figure out from scratch...
Luckily it does get better at rapid pace the last few years, I haven't seen these kind of workarounds needed in ages (so don't take this post too discouraging). But it's a good reminder that these issues aren't gone yet, and will be a blockade (in bigger or smaller degree) for mainstream usage until they are.

Generations is now supported.
I may try to reorganize the mod in the next update, so you'll have to move your music files to subfolders if you're updating, but judging from the download count I don't think that will be an issue.

That's right, more variety, and a lower chance for tracks to get completely removed from the queue! How'd you guess?
Oh, also Late Night tracks are now supported!
By the way, all of the tracks are optional. You can just add the files for ones you actually want to hear and the rest will just not play. This game is cool about missing files like that.

Ambitions is now supported. I noticed I accidentally skipped a version number, too... Oh well.
Also, all previous versions have been reuploaded without the git metadata and ReadMe file inside. They're much smaller! That, and I disabled the other downloads so nobody gets confused.

I added support for the tracks from World Adventures!
The sub-world loading music is missing for now because I feel it should only be used while loading actual sub-worlds. If I could find an equivalent feature to attach it to, I would!

I made a mod that adds The Sims 3 Music to Paralives. Currently it just supports the base game's full-length music, but I'm considering also doing some expansions.

I did not expect to say this but #Paralives actually turned out amazing, wow. I really felt like it would end up mediocre with gameplay as an afterthought, but there's so many interesting and fun features in there.
Of course there's tons of bugs and incomplete features, but that's early access for ya. I trust the team to deliver more. Even at the current level, I feel like it's worth it though. What a refreshing game.
