THE BOYFRIEND really is a TV show like no other. it's not perfect (I hate how they use music, hate how on both seasons they prioritized the worst couples for most of the screentime and am suspiscious of the casting decisions for S02 re: almost everyone knew someone else from before), but it's damn good TV, has a very specific pacing and emotional spacing, and is proper wholesome.
I hope we get a 3rd season.

Also Reality TV ist ja schwierig, aber was ich echt mag und sehr berührend finde ist die Serie "The Boyfriend" aus Japan. Dort wohnen etwa 10 schwule Männer 2 Monate zusammen, es gibt viele gute Gespräche, Tränen und süße Momente. Und es ist eher ruhig und einfühlsam gestaltet und kommentiert.
Gibts auf Netflix (ich weiß auch eher schwierig... )
Schaut das noch wer von euch?

Ended up finishing season 2 of #TheBoyfriend. Really cute show and I enjoyed watching it. It’s interesting how there were so many pairs that knew each other beforehand and also ended up repairing and continuing those relationships. I’m glad Kazuyuki got back with his ex after reflecting on the past and his time at the Green Room.
I hope there’s a season three honestly. I also hope that they have a recurring cast member (hopefully not Taehon again as much as I like him lol) but at the same time I also hope that they all find someone outside of the show

This post was brought to you by me finishing season two of #TheBoyfriend (by all accounts a popular show!) and finding almost nothing on the other end of that hashtag. Some days I just want to be less computer toucher and talk about cute cozy TV shows for a while! But maybe this is not the venue for it. Or maybe there's something else I'm not doing that would change my experience. idk, but it's a bit of a bummer
