Platforms often also wanted to route me via Lille onto #TGVs that carried no bikes and I think some couldn't cope with #SNCB carrying bikes on a day ticket not a reservation for each train.

#SNCF 🇫🇷 train station names can be quite a thing. Take #Meroux and #Belfort-Montbéliard-TGV. Two different stations, right? Well, not quite. It’s the SAME station. For regional trains on tracks D and E, its Meroux. For high-speed #TGVs from tracks 3 and 4 it’s the other one. Locals might well be aware of that and plan for a connection here, but the rest … . 🤦🤷
