    Successful #DMR QSO with Tom #N8TJ on Michigan #TG3126 .

    The #W8RP UHF DMR repeater is about 3 miles due south of here (Wolverine Tower or "WoTo"), and I'm on the 3d floor in a building with brick walls next to a bunch of other buildings with brick walls. Yet with all that obstruction the reception was just a little bit glitchy (0-3% error rate) and reported 100% copy.

    The other piece of that good news is that I don't need to build a second DMR hotspot to have coverage here.

    CW: Michigan State University ARC?

    QSO just now with Ed #W8EO via DMR #TG3126 (Michigan). He is for a long time affiliated with the MSUARC ( #W8SH / #W8MSU ) amateur radio club on the MSU campus.

    Club home page is at egr.msu.edu/msuarc/ and Ed reports that there's a Discord server running as well (not listed on that page).

    Matt #WS8U net control. 5 check-ins, 13 minutes. We meet at 700p local time (Eastern) Saturdays on the Brandmeister TG 3126 "Michigan".

    I let people know that I hoped to make a QSO or two with Ohio this week in advance of the big game. (thinking of you @w8lt @W8HF @k8vsy )

    Catching the end of the MichiganONE #DMR net, on Brandmeister #TG3126 (the main Michigan talk group carried by many DMR repeaters in Michigan). Net run tonight by Dustin #N8RMA .
