On my way to the #bulletproofhosting conference in Bonn/Germany, I made it into the top ten ranking of the #TeslaRadar app, again. As I drove from Salzburg via Berlin, there were loads of brand-new Teslas (with a 2025 VIN) stored on parking lots next to the highway.

The Tesla Radar app turned four in August (it was released at #CCCamp19). That's about ten years in Internet time.
1.7 million view events from more than 3000 Android devices in 54 countries gathered the BLE signature of more than 200 000 unique #Tesla vehicles that support #PhoneAsAKey.
If there is enough #TeslaRadar users at #CCCamp near Berlin in the coming weeks, there will be a party! So please #RSVP early via mastodon/X so I'm able to do some shopping before my departure.

A new version of the Tesla Radar app is available in the Google Play Store (v.0.140)
Here are some of the changes:
* introduced line-break in country-flags section in device detail screen
* re-arranged beacon detection
* added permanent notification in order to prevent app-process to get removed by OS
* re-introduced adaptive scan aggressiveness (now based on pedometer and battery manager)

Harnessing the power of GPU-based brute-force, the VIN-recognition in the #TeslaRadar app and the VINTAG-API (https://github.com/trifinite/vintag) has been improved over the last days.
At the moment, the VIN Index has a hit-rate of over 99.8% (based on Bluetooth vehicle IDs collected via teslaradar) #Tesla #trifinite #TEMPA
