@johan , раз уж речь про Мастадон, то такое (на скриншоте) только у меня появилось с месяц на всех инстансах, на которых был? И в glitch-soc, и в #Mastodon от #mastodonsocial , #techhubsocial , #infosecexchange

Особенно часто в фед.ленте такое. Реже в списке постов некоторых юзеров (с замком на аккаунте), по тегу #интернет , если вбить в поиск в клиенте и там нажать на то, сколько человек обсуждают. То ли #Moshidon for Android сломался от небольшого устаревания, то ли фиг знает.

don't get me wrong, i understand some or even maybe many existing mastodon instances don't want to change their search function and keep relying on hashtags, and that's fine. but that doesn't mean, especially considering mastodon / activitypub enables it, is that, we can't build a new *instance* that *does* have a better search function, WITH a twitter circle equivalent that would still enable privacy within an open search system

also, the problem with hashtags is you can't have a space in a hashtag. i guess you could do an underscore, but now we're just making it more and more needlessly complicated to search and find things. and don't get me wrong, i understand some or even maybe many existing mastodon instances don't want to change their search function and keep relying on hashtags, and that's fine, i guess. but that doesn't mean, especially considering mastodon / activitypub enables it, is that, we can't build a new *instance* that *does* have a better search function, WITH a twitter circle equivalent that would still enable privacy within an open search system
