Some tech bro has been observed looking for brain surgeons in Berlin.
Another report I have received was about a group of Chinese "scientists" presenting results on BCIs aka Brain Computer Interfaces.
They look more like butchers my contact commented.
This is becoming a real threat.

Just before I found out about the Internet, I was a member of SF Net, a BBS system with an emphasis on "net gets" and local contacts. This extended to having some coin-operated terminals in bars in San Francisco.
I've been thinking for some time that the way lack-of-consent is central to the big tech corporations might force things back into semi-public or private areas like BBSes and closed fora.
I find myself wondering if coin-op terminals would cut down some on AI theft and slop. Having to actually put a coin in for every 15 minutes probably couldn't be usefully and reasonably automated...
