A mi, personalmente, no me cabe en la cabeza que grandes centros comerciales que no están siquiera en el mismo barrio, repitan el mantra de que la peatonalización va en contra del comercio, lo cual no tiene ninguna base.
¿O quizá se refieran a que un eje como el de la #superilla les vendría mal a ellos porque la gente no irá a sus centros comerciales?

Se trata de la última #superilla . Como las anteriores #superilles consiste en pacificar unas zonas concretas mediante la priorización peatonal, desviar el recorrido de los vehículos y limitar su velocidad, el uso de mobiliario urbano y jardinería para favorecer usos no ligados al consumo o la circulación y reducir contaminación.
A diferencia de las anteriores, esta se concentra en una sola calle, de 3.5km de largo y luce así

Nuestro despacho está rodeado desde hace muchos meses por obras del proyecto de la #SuperIlla del ayuntamiento de Barcelona. No nos hemos quejado ni lo haremos, porque hace años que vamos andando a todas partes, evitando transporte privado o público. Ser peatón en Barcelona es difícil: estamos también rodeados por todo tipo de cacharros a toda velocidad por calzadas y aceras.
No nos quejamos. Pero que no haya nada parecido a una inauguración. Están prohibidas:

Barcelona wird zur #Superilla: Kurz vor den Wahlen sollen die ersten verkehrsberuhigten Plätze im Eixample fertig sein, mit mehr Platz für Fußgänger und spielende Kinder, so wie bei den Pilotprojekten in Sant Antoni und im Poblenou. 33 Hektar werden den Autos abgezwackt, 21 neue begrünte Plätze entstehen. Das Problem der Luftverschmutzung wird dadurch aber nur bedingt gelöst. Über das Projekte habe ich für die Zeitfragen auf Deutschlandfunk Kultur berichtet.

I think it was until 2017 that this space belonged to cars that would pass through here at 60 or 70km/h, with tiny sidewalks left and right. Now it belongs to walkers, musicians, readers, chess players, dogs, children...The #SuperBlock really changed the neighbourhood and especially during the pandemic it made a huge difference. This really is human friendly #CityPlanning
