There's like 6 different ways to join a game through Steam. I've got most of them working for #Narball, but joining a dedicated server through a rich presence link off of a friend while the game is closed always fails even though the connect command appears to be the exact same as the one I generate when joining from a server list request API call, which almost always works. It works sometimes if the game is already open. It's the same command! #Steamworks

Counter-point: isn't setting some regional prices as low as -70% of the base price encouraging grey market and VPN use even further?
Or alternatively, utilizing harsh regional locks (like Netflix does)...
I really don't know which is a better path to take here.

Hmm. Been so curious to try Steamworks and sone of the events here. I’m here now with a friend, in separate rooms. Had a soak in the tub. But I’m realizing that navigating conversation and social cues with the music and club lights going is proving to be too much for me. Shit.
Is there a directory of places that are more ND friendly? I’ll hang out a while longer but the traffic home will likely be more relaxing. 😞

I don't want to be a dick but isn't Deliver At All Costs in clear breach of Steam Distribution Agreement?
The game is available for 100% off (effectively free) on Epic Games Store while being available at full price on Steam Store.
The rules clearly say that the games published on Steam are not allowed to be offered at a lower price point on other stores.

I just read the guide on setting up #Steam Achievements, and it actually looks pretty easy too. It's natively C++, so it's just adding one more DLL to get access. The #Steamworks API is a bunch of async callbacks, and my engine is built out of async plugins that stash data in a shared pool. I can just make a plugin that calls SteamAPI_RunCallbacks, and then hook all the callback functions to push their data into the pool. It said it would take up to a week to verify my identity and get access to the #Steamworks tools, but it took less than a day. I now hold the Steam app name "Portal Foxes TD", but you still can't see the Steam page because I need to actually make it. I need trailers, descriptions, screenshots, and tags, oh my.

Did the paperwork and paid the fee to register my LLC with #Steamworks and get the Steam page for my game. It'll still be a while before I'm ready to start begging for wishlists like all the cool #gamedevs, but the ball is rolling.

Anyone have experience with steamworks? I want to create an app to start experimenting, but not sure how it works, like I have nowhere even close to an atom of a game, so its very early, so are there any downsides to creating it now?

Does anyone know if it is possible to test #Steamworks integration without having a Dev/Publish Account on #Steam?
I would like to see first if this is even working well enough before paying 100 bucks and filling all those forms...

After some time as a #gamedev, I have taken the next step and now I am finally a #Steamworks Partner!
I've done this because I have a small experiment project in my hands right now, there will be news very soon I hope.
