  1. It's been awhile since I carved a spoon. Though the design is simple this is the best spoon I have ever carved. The symmetry is spot on and the walls of the inside of the bowl are even and free of tool marks. Up to now the bowls have always had some goofiness. The handle is also more slender than I typically make them and I angled the bowl of the spoon for a more ergonomic spooning action. You know, the way spoons are supposed to be made. 2. Survival spoon #1. We all need a spoon to get us through the apocalypse of your choice. Sturdy and thick construction with a nice pointy end for sticking into sensitive places. The bowl is oversized for scooping out brains. Mmm brains.

  3. Lady friend asked me to make a replacement spoon for one that she got in Bali. The one she got there broke. Easy enough to trace it out and make with an addition of a tail at the end to make it nicer to hold when stirring and give the user more control. Made out of black oak.

  4. My camping spoon. Made from the other half of the branch that the matcha spoon came from. I did not remove the pith but hollowed it out and filled the groove with epoxy.
"Never use the pith", they said. Well, no one tells me what to do. Not even me!

  5. Matcha spoon. Gift for a friend. The end of the handle fits perfectly between the thumb and index finger for 75% more stirring action!
