Good news. Sarah Porter (an ultra-marathon runner who received death threats while fundraising for women and girls) ended up with quite a lot of funds raised. There's an update about forming a new charity.

Anna Troup wins the Montane Summer Spine Race 2025 Anna Troup won this race in 2021 and 2022. Her course record has stood unchallenged since 2022. She has now returned 3 years later and once again won the women’s race, and this time as the first runner over the line… #SummerSpine #SpineRace

As I tuck myself up in my warm bed, legs slightly sore from today's long run, my thoughts turn to runners on the Pennine Way. While I sleep they will be heading North in the snow and freezing conditions on their first (of many) nights. Nutters the lot of them. #SpineRace #DotWatching #BritainsMostBrutal

Superb result for Jenny Yeo, first woman on the 2023 Montane Spine Race. She looked and sounded remarkably relaxed, despite having 268 miles under her belt and at least 3 seasons of weather! She had a very decent lead on the second placed woman, who in turn, has a large lead on the third!

To say he nailed it is an understatement! What a phenomenal run by Dave Phillips. Winner of the 2023 Summer Montane Spine Race. Looking chipper as anything despite 268 miles of ever changing conditions and challenging Pennine Way terrain. His nearest competitor is around half a day behind him. Outstanding running!

Just outstanding. Damian Hall wins the 2023 Winter Montane Spine Race with Jack Scott in second place. Despite gales, blizzards and at times, thigh deep snow, both men smashed this run and both broke the men’s course record, previously held by John Kelly.
Amazing run by two amazing blokes! 🙌🏻💪🏻👌🏻
