    #Selaginella #martensii is native to Mexico and Central America. #Spikemosses represent the sister group to the #Isoetales within the #Lycopodiopsida, which like ferns/seed plants, are already characterized by a dominant #sporophytegeneration. The #species is #delicate, I thus #cultivate it in a #bottlegarden of my own creation. Such gardens are modern versions of the #Wardiancase, first developed in 1829.
