Just found out #sosreport (deb package: sos). A tool that generates a system report that e.g. a user can send Support.
Has several hundreds of plugins to collect whatever is actually needed. Has an option to scrub some types of sensitive information (subcommand 'clean'. Not sure how well that works in practice).
We had our own internal tool that does similar things not as well, and not half as extensive. It's nice to see such a tool.

The recent @Cockpit release 314 fixes a security issue on the sos report page, improves read-only file systems, and shows container deployments in OSTree.
