The CBC reporting that the SK Party is elected in 30 seats. Only 31 needed for a majority. I think we'll be getting a call soon for an SK Party win, but it is still a much closer legislature than before.

We could be nearing the call for the Sask Party. CBC is projecting SKParty is at 30 elected. Moose Jaw is key. The NDP had hoped to flip that riding but it looks like they are coming up just short.
We are at 89% of voting stations reporting and 15 of the 61 ridings have completed all counting for tonight.
No seat change on the latest update but the popular vote tightening to 54% and 38%.
Starting to get the feeling that the SK Party will pull this out of the fire.
Big takeaway: the rural divide in Canada is very very real, everywhere.
But also: The right wing is *not* inevitable in Canada
The NDP gets up to 26 but SK at 34. Apparently NDP have swept all seats, currently, in Regina. Including taking some cabinet members of the SK Party The Popular Vote continues to narrow. The NDP have 55% of the vote in Regina.

UPDATE All seats are Reporting! The Sask Party has a lead in 34 ridings, which would be enough for a majority but no call yet as there are MANY very close ridings.
They are now talking about Mail ballots which aren't counted until Thursday!

They were just talking on CBC about how the SKParty House Leader resisted requests by Elections SK to have electronic tabulators like BC. Instead, we wait for 2 more seats more than 2 hours after polls closed.

Just to emphasize how early we still are and how small Saskatchewan is, there are less than 900,000 eligible voters in the province! 82,000 votes counted so far.
Check out the results chart. We are only just approaching 10% of eligible voters so far. Turn out last election was just over 50%.

We just had a bigger update. Now 30 to 12.
Why the heck am I interested in this election in a province I've only driven through 4 times in my life t's because the right-leaning party in power, the Sask Party, is facing a challenge for the first time in a long time from the left.
The current Premier Scott Moe is also steadfast in his stumping for fossil fuels 2nd only to Alberta.
A loss by SKP could also signal trouble for Federal CPC who takes the prairies for granted as easy wins.

CBC reports likely 50 minute delay before votes come in from the urban centres. There are less polling stations than last time, so less poll workers to count the same number of votes. They are counting by hand.
