"GINO HANDS HIMSELF IN TO GERMAN AUTHORITIES
Accompanied by antifascist activists, Gino handed himself in to German authorities in Hanover on 15 October. He was arrested on arrival.
The antifascist is accused of participating in attacks on neo-Nazis in Budapest in February 2023. France refused to extradite him to Hungary in 2025, citing the risk of torture and concerns over the rule of law. Germany subsequently issued its own European arrest warrant.
After France’s highest court rejected his appeal against extradition to Germany, Gino travelled to Hanover to surrender. His supporters warn that he could now face onward extradition to Hungary."
