Stelo collects 5 minute data points every 15 minutes from the sensor. It appears Shuggah stays with 5 minute collection, like the G7.
The next question: Does Shuggah get values outside of the tight window that Stelo supports? I think the highest it will show is 200mg/dl. We shall see!

I'm playing with plugging a Dexcom Stelo into Shuggah again. Since there's no documentation on this support that was added to xdrip4ios/shuggah, I decided to dig into the code to figure out how to make it work.
Shuggah can now see the sensor. But it's stuck in "scanning" and doesn't get data.
I think this might actually be a Stelo limitation.

This is an issue I have not, personally, encountered, but have seen another user encounter, which I was unable to help on. And this is an example of why I can't recommend this app anymore. The other user also refused to register a Facebook account and just decided to use another app.

So it appears the Shuggah app maintainer is making it clear that if you’re not willing to sacrifice your privacy to Facebook, then they, as well as xdrip4ios devs, will not provide help.
And as it stands now, 2 major flaws that I have encountered will persist.
I will stop recommending this app.

Just ordered a Dexcom Stelo kit to play with. Looks like some other apps may support direct connection to it so it'll be interesting to see how it works, and if the limitations are entirely within the Stelo app.
Shuggah added support for it recently.

So when a sensor acts particularly wonky, Shuggah (the app I use for diabetes management) has a bad time. The only way to fix it, I've found, is to reinstall it, which causes all the historical data in the app to be lost.
I can't dissociate the old sensor either. It's just...broken until reinstalled.
Why can't things...just...work?

When you nail your blood glucose management with the right ratio, and just vibe all day.
(this is even a bit more carbs than I usually have in a day, I don’t normally have a carby snack between lunch and dinner)

Reinstalled Shuggah. Again. Thankfully all my data is in Nightscout so no real data loss.
Set Shuggah to just use aggressive keepalive rather than bluetooth to see if this fixes it. Not sure if it’s a data issue or something with the sensor. But with the bluetooth page reliably crashing the app…leaning towards that.

Ugh, Shuggah (the iOS app I use to view my CGM data) is very unhappy with my new sensor for some reason. I have it using my sensor for keepalive heartbeat and it seems to be crashing with this sensor.
I can’t seem to figure out how to get information about this to the Shuggah devs.

There's an update to Shuggah (Diabetes app for iOS). It has an interesting change.
I've had to keep the app keepalive set to aggressive to be reliable. This has a noticeable impact on battery. It also wasn't 100% reliable.
It now has a heartbeat you can set to your sensor's bluetooth connection. The heartbeat wakes up the app for background updates. This is supposed to reduce the battery impact by Shuggah to almost none. This is also supposed to be way more reliable.
Libre 3 is supported. It doesn't actually get data from the sensor. It just uses it to wake up the app and retrieve data from librelinkup and then send to Nightscout.
I'm going to run with this for a bit and see how it goes.
