My recommendation for the #nightscout Google cloud setup to be automated with a script has been adopted to the docs... a tiny win for a little place to make one bit of managing #t1d a little easier for a few folks.

Hey people #SelfHosting your #NightScout instance! What do you use, how do you like it? Do you do backups of it?
I'm talking to someone with a kid with #type1diabetes and they're interested in hosting their own, but they don't have that much experience wrangling computers to do their bidding. I have some ideas, but I'd like to first see what people do use. -

I don't usually post this sort of content, but I am very much appreciating the discussion on diabetes and impact of carbs, with a live demo of impact of eating an orange on blood glucose and insulin use.
The interviewee uses the same software as I do (AndroidAPS), and I've also experimented with keto diets for better glucose control (it works, but it's a lot of work to keep it up).

Holy crap! I just found out that my Azure Cosmos instance has 16M records... I need to trim that down and save on storage.
My #Nightscout companion system is still strong and fast, though. So that's not all bad news. -

Interesting observation running both a Dexcom Stelo and Libre 3 Plus through Nightscout: The random spikes and return to normal from Libre 3 are purely a Libre 3 thing and not something weird with my body. The Stelo never registers the spikes.

I might have to rethink my use of Shuggah. I’ve run into a bug and there’s no way to get the dev to do something about it.
(there’s a bit of a complex situation with the dev and the origin project, xdrip4ios)

Ran into an issue trying to move my Nightscout services and kinda gave up on it last night. I think there’s a bug in the docker container where it doesn’t handle having multiple networks defined very well. I suspect it was only starting its service listening on one of the defined networks, and not the network I want it to.
Going to do some digging today.

Increased my I:C ratio for lunch today, anticipating my insulin needs will change with Mounjaro in my system again.
Was a good call.
Went from 1:8 to 1:10 and holding steady from my lunch today. Will have to keep an eye on this to see if it needs further change.
I log everything into Nightscout so it'll be interesting to see how my reports look in a couple of weeks compared to previous couple of weeks.

Reinstalled Shuggah. Again. Thankfully all my data is in Nightscout so no real data loss.
Set Shuggah to just use aggressive keepalive rather than bluetooth to see if this fixes it. Not sure if it’s a data issue or something with the sensor. But with the bluetooth page reliably crashing the app…leaning towards that.
-
There's an update to Shuggah (Diabetes app for iOS). It has an interesting change.
I've had to keep the app keepalive set to aggressive to be reliable. This has a noticeable impact on battery. It also wasn't 100% reliable.
It now has a heartbeat you can set to your sensor's bluetooth connection. The heartbeat wakes up the app for background updates. This is supposed to reduce the battery impact by Shuggah to almost none. This is also supposed to be way more reliable.
Libre 3 is supported. It doesn't actually get data from the sensor. It just uses it to wake up the app and retrieve data from librelinkup and then send to Nightscout.
I'm going to run with this for a bit and see how it goes.

@seiyria me and Jan from #OhMyPosh have built #nightscout directly into a segment. It's already out, OSS, and if you want you can watch us build it live on my YouTube
