Everyone I've spoken to in relation to booking a narrowboat holiday says, 'The Avon Ring? In 7 days? Most customers take 14.'

'We've done the Avon Ring twice before in 7 days and it was a breeze.'

'Oh - you've done it before. That's fine then.'

It's almost as if they think I'm a new customer and try to sell me an extra week.

I assume a two-week cruise around the Avon Ring involves the engine off and the breeze propelling you in the right direction.
