  16. I just saw a picture of a smiling Mr. Rogers behind a "Sensitive Content" warning, and I'm officially calling it. 11:15am central time, Friday the 13th, 2023, this feature's usefulness is dead from overuse. When all content is sensitive, none of it is.

  17. Just my opinion. When the sensitive content flag could be hiding anything from a nice plate of pot stickers or an attractive person looking straight at the camera, to hard core porn or graphic violence, it's lost almost any usefulness or meaning. I'm seeing MORE stuff I might not care to see, rather than less.

  18. How do some pics get labeled as sensitive content? Is it the poster’s choice or…? #Mastodon #SensitiveContent

  19. @blingoali @DazzlingDamo The sensitive content thing can be a settings issue. Some of the apps allow it to be changed, and you can also find it in a web browser session, as shown.

  20. Remember that guideline of using CW on pictures of food, that would be reboosted after every wave of evacuees from :twitter: ?

Enabing the #ContentWarning and #SensitiveContent on images of #fruit and #vegetables would be especially appreciated by the British in these "unprecedented" times

  21. Ok, silly me. I tried googling but couldn't find the answer.

How do you make your post sensitive?

I posted from the Trevor project about LGBTQIA suicide rates and I don't want to trigger anyone.

    Thanks!

I also noticed parallels with the abuse many grad students and lower level fsculty have suffered from senior faculty in #academia. An intense read. #nsfw #sensitivecontent

  23. More politics and hate on my home timeline, no content / sensitive media warning, boosted posts. Un followed the booster. Very disappointing. #politics #sensitivecontent

  24. I think #mastodon needs to review its filtering system for #sensitivecontent - it's astonishing how many photos of adorable #cats end up with that cover over them. Surely nobody will be traumatised by pictures of #adorable #kittehs

  25. I just responded to someone’s post with a short clip of Ike 🐕 waiting for me to throw his toy. Mastodon/Vivaldi automatically marked it as #sensitivecontent. 🙄

  26. UPDATE: Days after appealing the Sensitive Content flag on my "come join us on Mastodon" tweet, Twitter admitted they made a "mistake."

Meanwhile, tooting about it helped bring in hundreds of followers to my #Mastodon account. #Elon flagging my tweet had the opposite effect to what he wanted.

    Thanks, #ElonMusk! 😂
