After the MoF Restoration Center visit, we strategized how to get through Seattle traffic to the #SEAAerospaceBBQ dinner. Then #aviation #avgeek #spacegeek chat commenced. More people there I hadn't seen in a while, and met others. A good time.

For the #SEAAerospaceBBQ festivities, after lunch we spent the afternoon at the Museum of Flight's Restoration Center in Everett. (Currently no public tours.) So many interesting aircraft being either preserved or worked on for future display at the museum. #aviation #avgeek

@WiredForFlight Hahaha! I wasn't even in any position to look for it. I only heard about it after I left Portland and got to Seattle to attend today's #SEAAerospaceBBQ events. But at the time it happened, I had just left a store under short final to PDX.

Earlier in the day before #SEAAerospaceBBQ on Jan 6 2024, a group (blog by @JetTip, organized by @JetCityStar) will take the Boeing Factory tour in Everett at 11am. Last I checked some tickets were still remaining for that tour. https://jettip.net/blog/paine-field-adventures-day-january-6-2024 #aviation #avgeek

First stop of the day as I head to #SEAAerospaceBBQ I started in Tuscaloosa at 1am Central this morning

I arrived this afternoon for #SEAAerospaceBBQ, which is organized by Isaac @JetCityStar . I stopped in Renton for lunch. Seen here are both sides of the 737 factory. Fuselages arrive by rail on one side, and exit as complete airplanes through a gate to #KRNT airfield. The ones seen here haven't flown yet - they fly to Boeing Field #KBFI for testing & delivery. #aviation #avgeek

We’re on DL867 (N920DU) to Seattle ahead of Saturday’s #SEAAerospaceBBQ; aircraft are currently departing on MSP’s 35, which is extremely unusual. It’ll be closed, per NOTAM, 9:40-10:00 AM… no worries though, the other three runways will be shut down for longer.
