#sageuk aren't my default setting, but I'm getting more and more interested in them, as I learn more about Korea's history. I think I'll do at least the 2-week trial, and possibly another month of Kocowa, in order to watch several of the shows that are no longer on Viki or Netflix. In particular, I really want to rewatch one of the best shows of the season. #TheTaleOfLadyOk, this time in English!

Spectacular costumes, intriguing plot, unexpected twists and #sageuk acting with evil laughs, painful cries, severely injured but undying characters.
The character development is not trivial either, it's like 3 dramas in 1.
Sometimes there is an absurd turn of events that doesn't justify what comes next. I think they strayed too much from historical facts and decided to quickly fix some mistakes in the end. -

I don't know about the rest of you but I end up in rabbit holes on Wikipedia after nearly every #Sageuk I watch.
I did come across this one passage in the wiki for Gyeongjong of Joseon on the subject of his death. There was speculation that his brother poisoned him but as you read that may have just been slander. Lol

I finished #BloodyHeart yesterday (shortly before midnight). It is a really beautiful #kDrama to watch. However, if you do not like politics in your #sageuk dramas then this would be one to skip. It is entirely politics.
#JangHyuk is great in it! as #LeeJoon and #KangHaNa also play beautifully together.
If I do have one gripe it is that there was not enough #LeeTaeRi. You can't just show him to me and then make me pray for another glimpse. It's not fair :p
