The fan skills of Fan Master (Kim Tae-woo) in Culinary Class Wars Season 2 are reminding me of Jang Hyuk as Yi Bang-won in My Country: The New Age.
Different contexts, different fans, but I'm swooning over them both.

Which drama had you running for your blankies?
There are several good suspense shows that were released in 2025, including #NinePuzzles and #DearX. Several folks recently mentioned a drama from 2020 starring my beloved #JangHyuk and the FL from last year's #IdolI #TellMeWhatYouSaw. It's immediately captured my attention, with 4 episodes consumed today. I'm not a fan of serial killers, but if they must be shown, I can't tolerate them in a romcom, which this doesn't pretend to be. Very interesting role for Jang Hyuk. I think the mystery will keep me intrigued, but one guy they've cast has never played anything but a villain in the many dramas I've seen him in, so I certainly have my suspicions!

Haha, he makes a truly magnificent warrior! Delightful to watch. And I enjoyed #WokOfLove, as a campy romance where he is a chef. He's just fun to watch, regardless of the role that he's playing.

But of course he does!! He also does several of the fan flicks that he did to perfection in My Country: The New Age.I tried to find the original video montage I watched with #JangHyuk in this show, and there were so many, I couldn't pick! I may have to rewatch, when I finish #SixFlyingDragons.

It's impressing me a lot, so far! My only complaint is that there are a lot of time jumps, and no way of identifying which direction they've jumped. I'm quite confused at the end of Episode 2!

I had 2 full days of sewing and 2 nights out with Meetup groups on the Avenue. Weather is hovering around freezing, with a couple of brief skiffs of snow. Nothing lasting yet.

#AmReading The Annual Migration of Clouds, an interesting dystopian novel by local writer, Premee Mohamad, after finishing We Have Always Been Here: A Queer Muslim Memoir, by Samra Habib, for tonight's book club. On Wednesday, I'll take another cooking class at the main library, making beet borscht, a favourite.
Exercise is happening more days than not, with some coaxing from my #AppleWatch. Today was pool running. -

I'm enjoying #JangHyuk in #ATreeWithDeepRoots. I'm not a big fan of the overly convoluted plot in the series, along with the sageuk custom of filling large portions of the show with somebody calling out "Majesty"! Still, it's giving me some of the backstory to the development of Hangeul as a writing system, which was what I came for. Also, more of the story of Yi Bang Won, King Taejong, Sejong's bloodthirsty dad.

Currently, I'm watching the #kdrama #MyCountryTheNewAge and it's become more interesting, now that I know the scary prince played by #JangHyuk later became the king in #TheQueenWhoCrowns and the father of #KingSejong, inventor of Hangeul and considered the greatest king of Korea. I haven't yet watched Sejong's story in #TreeWithDeepRoots, but apparently, Jang Hyuk is back in that one as Sejong.

Have you watched My Country? I paused it after a couple of episodes of pretty much nothing but fighting. However, I've resumed it and the characters are being developed quite nicely, including his.
