  2. Sesko soars as Manchester United surge past Sabah on Champions League return
By David Hytner at Old Trafford

It was a night for romance given the astonishing story that Sabah brought with them to Old Trafford for their Champions League debut. This is a club that did not even exist a decade ago and nobody saw their bolt to the title in Azerbaijan coming last season; in 2024-25, they had finished 41 points off the top. The job that their manager, Valdas Dambrauskas, has done since taking over in the summer of last year is extraordinary.

Kinabalu Climb Part 2 🧗‍♀️ Summit Push & Descent

The reality of Borneo's Mount Kinabalu, we discovered, lies not in the triumphant photographs taken at dawn, but in the pitch-black, exhausting hours preceding them, and the subsequent descent.

  5. Sabah is rich in resources, but politicians jail its wealth, using patronage to ensure dependency and easy bribes. The "Sabahan Malas" stereotype and using religion to gaslight are tactics to hide this reality. Focus on corrupt leaders and demand a fair system.

  6. @ncoca Welcome to the pavements/sidewalks of Malaysia! Malaysia's development overly focuses on roads, to the extent that they forget pedestrians have legs and lives too, and need to walk. Maybe the politicians are enjoying their wealthy life in moneyland while we are all in poverty, and we are blamed for our poverty.

  7. [Edited] My past blog entry snippet is a crucial reminder for the fedizens: The idea that having different political choices equals being "divided" is a harmful label. True stability comes from acknowledging and navigating a healthy, functioning, diverse political landscape.

    > But here is where the political spin becomes harmful: The politician does not focus on systemic failures; he blames the victims.

    > Having different political choices is not being "divided"—it is the definition of a healthy, functioning democracy.

  9. No visit to #KotaKinabalu will be complete without paying a visit to a local office of the Philippine Cultural Ministry. 😂

  10. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that Sabah also has a bamboo pole dance similar to the Philippines' Tinikling or Singkil. This one is called Magunatip.

  11. #Sabah is keen to take over the management of the #KotaKinabalu International Airport (#KKIA) in view of the longstanding "inaction" to resolve issues at the #airport.

The problems at the KKIA including the airport’s lighting, air-conditioning, toilets, baggage trolleys, carousels, and public announcement (PA) system have not been effectively addressed.

The available spaces designated for food outlets at the airport have not been fully utilised.

  12. There was another big fire this time during the emergency training at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI).

Aerodrome Emergency Training is conducted at least once in two years to test the readiness of all agencies involved as stipulated in the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
