  1. @gmraphi @tealk

  2. This week I'm running a PvP session with the teens D&D group I DM. It gets crazy -- lots of creativity, and SQUEEGEES! Rule of cool for the win. #dnd #ttrpg #RuleOfCool #fantasy

  3. A player in the teens D&D group I run asked if their character can wield a +2 Squeegee.

Rule of Cool to the rescue!

  4. As a new content creator on YouTube, I'm working to put out a new video every week. It's fascinating to see which ones gain in popularity the quickest...

Rule of Cool: There are no squeegees in D&D!

  5. During last night's teens' #DnD game, the party of young adventurers (four of which are bards!) decided to parlay with three skeletons, not realizing they can't speak and have no 'intelligence.'

A -really- high Persuasion check made it work so the other DM and I ran with it.

Non-canonical game-play but the players had a blast ... Rule of Cool!

  7. @ZenobiaVayne I don't see how that's a problem.

You haven't started with the essential statement of intent: What's cool about it?

Is it just the idea of the characters interacting with an ancient white dragon? Then it's simple – the dragon wants something. From them. Which would be really cool and terrifying. For them.

Is it the idea of seven 8th level characters fighting an ancient white dragon? That could be cool, especially if what you really want is to see all those characters dead. Probably not as cool for the players. If the cool bit is the fight, however, and the outcome isn't important, then it would be cool for the dragon to kick their ass straight up, and then not kill them because it doesn't want to, because it has something it wants from them. See previous idea.

Everything becomes simpler in this mode of reasoning if you actually start with "what about this is actually cool?"

Nerfing ancient white dragons? Never cool. That ruins the whole point of them being ancient white dragons. Uncool.

  8. never understood this weapon choice; it seems very impractical. can only be used once per battle; a physical-long-range attack when they could have just installed a beam weapon with ammo? (yes i know this is #gundam and it's #RuleOfCool but it's not even cool)

  9. @Gazimoff looks great, why gundams actually need hover boards is still beyond me (I get it, #RuleOfCool); which panel line color will you be using? brown? i am considering black on all builds now.
