A post by @valthonis has me reminiscing about my days as a regular Amtrak passenger, which are almost exactly overlapping with my RPG industry years.
For one example: when I was working for Avalon Hill, it became the main way for Eric Dott to bring me to Baltimore for an editorial conference (variously and capriciously defined).
So I loved taking the train but Amtrak, for a time, meant RPG work in Baltimore with a side of trauma. 😅
The industry wasn't ... good.
