  1. I use old eyeglasses cases to store and carry my #MorseCode #CW paddles in my bag. Find out what Vince

  2. Fun with #RigExpert.

I have an AA-30.Zero that was a gift when I got my license back in '16 or '17. Haven't fired it up since I got a NanoVNA, but the Antscope software is *so* nice. Tonight I tried to use it.

Nothing worked! LOTSA firmware updates and LOTSA software updates have happened.

It took hours, but I finally coaxed the fw to the latest, and got Antscope to almost the latest. The AA-30 will now read all the way up into 2mt!

Now that it's working, I can tweak my Hygain 18AVT.

  3. @N4JAW Hopefully no loss of life involved. I have not been a user of their products, and didn't realize they were a Ukrainian company. #HamRadio #RigExpert

  4. RigExpert Update

Today, our administrative office was destroyed by a russian ballistic missile. The good news—our entire team is safe.

Despite the challenges, we remain committed to delivering our products and minimizing any delays. #rigexpert #AmateurRadio #HamRadio

  5. I've started making a thing. It's far from finished, but at least it's starting to take shape. Also, I think that #RigExpert's AA-30.ZERO is a nice VNA in affordable price that is extremely hackable. After I've started playing with it on a PC I've thought that it would be even better to connect it to a ESP-based board so I can provide the measurements over wifi instead of an Arduino working only as a serial repeater - but maybe I'll get to that later.

  6. Give me a ready to use product but allow me to hack it.

#RigExpert has done this for the Tokenblauser GPSDO where they made the firmware available under #gpl (github.com/rigexpert/Tokenblau).

I would love to see more like this.

  7. Anyone using RigExpert AntScope2 on Linux (Mint)? The AppImage simply will not run. File permissions set to run as an executable. fuselib2 dependency is installed. It just does nothing. No launch, no errors. #hamradio #rigexpert #linuxmint
