It never ceases to surprise me the number of restaurants in the UK which don't have any reasonable non meat options on the menu.
About 1 in 8 people don't eat meat so any group of customers is likely to have at least one person.
I've vetoed places in the past because they don't have any good options. Not catering for everyone is a good way to lose business. Even the most rabid steakhouse should know this.

I don't go out to dinner by myself very often, but on days I have to stay at work late to finish a project then go to an event, I get a chance to try something new.
Last night I went and had #Japanesefriedchicken in #Oakland, and it was tasty! Good portions for the price and a fun attitude to the restaurant. There's a bunch of other restaurants that either do the breakfast, lunch deal, or open for dinner in the same area.

No. 1 -- Town Center. A landmark: Roddy's Golden Scale restaurant. A place everyone knows. A local delicacy, giant caviar from giant fish. The top floor, the sunset room, for fancy folks, and the lower floors are for everyone else. They have expanded to hotel rooms. There is a door in the back that would be perfect to sneak in.
