It's that time of year again when National Trust members need to vote for council membership to avoid the attack from the far right 'Restore Trust' (yeah right). RT want to take us back to an uncritical, non-diverse, forelock-tugging verison of history. There's a quick vote to support the National Trust's top choice candidates. @robparsons Me too. I used to agonise over the list, trying to support a range of different voices. Not now, just a straight quick vote for NT-endorsed candidates. It's far too important to keep out the right-wing Restore Trust bunch, who can't cope with critically exploring the sources of wealth behind great country houses and a more inclusive understanding of history.
