For the twenty sixth #30MapsInAMonth is a visualisation using the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) Financial Year 2018/19 to 2023/24 passenger travel data projected onto a Network Rail shortest-path network using the centre-line track-model to create visualisation for passenger journey numbers for the active rail stations across the British rail network.

On my way to Dresden to teach (see https://fediscience.org/@rupdecat/112134696017201438 )
It is my first time to teach this course elsewhere. A lot of effort went into configurability and portability of the course material. Teaching reproducible data analysis is demanding.
And so, I hope to learn a lot, such that the material can be applied elsewhere.
I will report, and a paper is in preparation, too.

Just travelling back from 2024 edition of the Open Science Retreat. We got a ton of work done - more will surely follow in various blogposts from me and others.
During the retreat, I "was promoted to a #snakemake maintainer". Snakemake is a complex software with many dependencies. This is a reminder to me to cherish the work of those who contribute to free open source software and help research.
