We have a Renson ventilation system that can only be controlled through a hideous app that hardly works. Yet again I have no control over our ventilation system bcs the login servers are out.

Anyone directions to hack away into that system so I can bypass that horrible app? HomeAssistant maybe? Love to hear experiences/tips (I searched the web)

Also never buy a system with app control, whatever your architect promises you. It sucks.

In my new kitchen, I got an air extractor #Renson Waves.
It seems to be able to do a lot of cool stuff like starting based on CO₂ or humidity level.
However, it also implies some uncool stuff like accessing your wifi network or creating an account in an app.
Is it the kind of thing I could do offline with #HomeAssistant ?
