    I'm a #sociologist, #demographer and #historian working on long-term change in #population #health. I'm interested in #healthinequalities, differences between #families and #intergenerational change, and #earlylife effects on health outcomes. I study #mortality, #morbidity, #reproductivehealth and #stature. I use historical register data as well as Swedish #registerdata. More on www.ingridvandijk.com!

  7. At the #DutchDemographyDay day, Lonneke van den Berg uses #Dutch #RegisterData to study whether living close to #grandparents buffers the drop in #WorkingHours for #mothers. Hard to read picture but interestingly living close to one's parents was associated with higher drop in #WorkingHours post #ChildBirth.

  8. I have mostly been using Finnish #registerdata in my research. See what we have in them here: investdata.utu.fi/catalog . If you have a project in mind where you would like to use them, be in contact!

We have an another visitor #fellowship call open right now, often used for that purpose, including special targeted program for US visitors. The deadline is November 22, see invest.utu.fi/fellowships/
