On the repair front, I've just glued up my work #shoes, yet again.
I usually retire my n-1 hiking shoes to an old age of work tasks where they take abuse without much concern. By the time I'm ready to get new ones again they're usually thoroughly depleted and I don't feel too bad about putting them out as garbage.
The primary failure mechanisms are delaminated soles and worn out inner backs, but I've developed decent techniques for fixing each of those issues. 😊
