So, have you heard of any progress on the horizon towards a self hostable identity/authorization login service yet?Still waiting for the day that logging into another Fediverse service is as easy as logging into a new website with Facebook...(or at least that we can see progress towards something like it...) #Mozilla #Persona looked good. Not sure if #ReclaimID is going anywhere. I'd love to hear about it if something is moving forward somewhere...

Check out #ReclaimID, which seems to be the best option still being maintained. They bill themselves as "The decentralized, self-sovereign identity system"One way or another we need to sort out this crazy "every Fediverse server has different users and never shall another accept your login" situation.

Just watched a really interesting video from the last #ccc on #ReclaimID a #FOSS system for "self-sovereign, decentralized identity management and personal data sharing". It kind of combines #GNUnet + #OpenID to provide a #selfhost-able #singlesignon / #SSO users use to log, choosing what info to share.
It sounds like it's early stage yet, but like it could be very powerful for logging into multiple #Fediverse services (and other sites) with the one login.

#reclaimID wäre ein brauchbarer Ansatz für dezentrales Identitätsmanagement. Leider gibt es bislang nur einen Prototypen.
