If I did this right, then I won’t have to ask the developers to change anything about their applications to deploy them to the new platform. But I hope that it will produce some organizational capital to spend on pushing #refactoring for the new platform, adopting #bestpractices, encouraging better #habits, and paying down #technicaldebt. I demonstrated #ownership of the platform I operate for them; they get to #reciprocate via the applications they own.

Your combustion my compression all the power makes

I painstakingly chose words that engorged my sense of self-satisfaction.
Deleted whole phrases and began anew until my precise diction sharply cut a fine line.
I snipped worlds from my thoughts and delivered them to you on clouds of ancticipation, expecting your enjoyment.
They dissipated unexpectedly. FLAT into an abyss of lost connection.

Card-clogged, the Christmas post
Carries this year's paper proof-of-life
From half-forgotten friends, unseen
(We really must meet up this year)
From family, far-flung (just as well
With uncle George in his prison cell).

Of habit, we reciprocate, in kind,
With cliched snow scenes, never seen,
Santa-hatted snowmen, robins, trees,
To hang on strings or sit in piles,
To make the lists for this, next year.

If you wish me a “Happy birthday!” And I #reciprocate with a “Thank You, Happy Birthday to you!” Know that I will be obsessing and replaying that moment over and over in my mind and wishing I could go back in time to change my ridiculous reply for something rational. Quite a number of us have our own websites we shamelessly plug them on Mastodon - and why not?
Some if us have personal non-profit websites so tend not to use SEO. A great feature years ago were WebRings and we could share links to blogs with similar content.
I was thinking that maybe we could work out some sort of Mastodon WebRing where we can either list webpages on a page, or have reciprocal links on a special page in our site.
Any thoughts?
