Day 3 brought discussions on data resilience and a strong HMC presence in the Sample Type Classification WG – from FAIR AIMS & IGSN to SEPIA and a shared sample classification.
A favourite takeaway: "Metadata is a journey!”
Thanks to RDA, UKRI & the community for three inspiring days of exchange in London.
Next: virtual #RDA in March 2027, then in person in September 27 in Cape Town!

A great first day at #RDAPlenary27 in London! 🌍
From an inspiring opening & keynote on digital public goods to discussions on sustainable research infrastructures and FAIR practices, Day 1 offered plenty of food for thought.
#HMC_OpenOffice joined the exchange in the Earth, Space & Environmental Science Data session and at the evening poster reception with three contributions on #PIDs, interoperability & sustainable #FAIRdata ecosystems.
HMC is heading to #RDAPlenary27 in London, 6–8 October! 🌍
Under the theme “Shaping a global open research commons”, we’ll join the international #ResearchData community to exchange on #FAIRdata ecosystems, interoperability, metadata infrastructures, FAIR Digital Objects & PIDs.
Several #HMC colleagues will contribute through sessions, talks and posters throughout the plenary.
