For the record, I'm still more than a little uneasy about #RDA's partnership with #Microsoft around agentic AI for research. It seems to me that the RDA-aligned research community will just be providing free labour to train "Researcher" agents that MS will then sell in direct competition with actual human researchers, further contributing to the devaluation of knowledge, expertise, truth and evidence.

Short-term thinking plays into the hands of the corporations and billionaires who have been playing a long game for decades.

Je suis momentanément occupé à scanner des photos argentiques de vacances dans le Harz en septembre 2000.

Parallèlement, j'ai une petite collection (de deux à trois cents) cartes postales de l'ex-RDA publiée par "Bild und Heimat" à Reichenbach dans le Vogtland. C'était l'éditeur principal de cartes postales pour tout le pays et il y a de nombreuses cartes postales à motif ferroviaire.

Je me suis dit qu'il pourrait être amusant et intéressant d'en publier à titre de comparaison.

Les cartes ferroviaires trouveront une place de choix dans un album sur ma page Friendica.

Ici, sur Mastodon, j'ai opté pour l'éphémère (les publications disparaissent après un mois).

Et comme hier, je parlais des ferrys vers Gedser au départ de Warnemünde, voici une carte postale éditée à l'ocasion des 75 ans d'existence de la liaison. La carte postale doit dater de de 1978 si l'on prend 1903 pour année d'origine.

C'est en effet en 1903 qu'une liaison fer/mer fut mise en service. Depuis 1886, il y avait déjà des ferries mais pas de trains.

Légende de la carte postale :

1. Ferry "Friedrich Franz IV" - En service de 1903 à 1926
2. Le ferry "Mecklenburg" à double entrée qui permettait de faire entrer les trains dans la cale. Construit en 1903 et modifié en 1924.
3. Train Copenhague - Berlin au départ de Warnemünde en 1935.
4. Ferry "Warnemünde" de la Deutsche Reichsbahn (chemins de fer de la RDA) construit en 1963 par le chantier naval "Neptun" à Rostock.
