  1. I went “Flan-ing” and made this Venezuelan Quesillo! It’s a traditional dish made a little differently than classic flan. Typically, it’s prepared in a special baking tin and cooked in a “Bain Marie” (water bath). Ingredients: • 1 can condensed milk • 1 can milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure) • 4 eggs • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract • 3 tbsp raw sugar • 3 tbsp water Instructions: • Boil the sugar and water together until it turns caramel brown. • Pour the caramel into a greased oven-safe dish and let it cool • Blend the condensed milk, regular milk, eggs, and vanilla in a blender until smooth. • Pour the mixture into the caramel-lined dish. • Place the dish in a Bain Marie (a larger pan filled with hot water). • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. • Let the Quesillo cool, then serve with dulce de leche. #venezuelancuisine #quesillovenezolano #dessert #foodie #foodiegram
