J'suis entrain d'installer LibreWolf sur une nouvelle machine et franchement y'a tout ce que j'aime déjà par défaut :
- uBlock origin
- le DNS over HTTPS de #Quad9 sans filtre
- les Tab containersAjouter une langue à l'interface est simple : tu choisi une fois, dans un menu la langue que tu veux et hop lui il se démerde avec la langue de son interface, la correction orthographique de tes saisies, la langue à réclamer pour les pages web… parce que ça aussi c'est la pagaille dans Firefox.
Avec LibreWolf, par défaut le navigateur reste un navigateur et n'envahit pas ta vie privée en retenant tes mots de passe, cartes de crédit, adresses postales…

I have no idea why you'd want to do it but whilst fixing a @DNSHistory stats issue I spotted ~4500 domains have multiple (duplicated) SOA records.
For example https://dig.domains/soa/mrmmobilya.com has 7 SOA records (via Google Public DNS). Quad9 only returns one but Cloudflare, OpenDNS, and a local PowerDNS Recursor also return 7.

Ich habe inkonsistentes Verhalten meiner #OPNsense (Version 6.1.2_5) festgestellt. Bei Änderungen des DNS auf #Quad9 oder #IPv64 verliert die Firewall während des Surfens die DNS-Verbindung. Wenn ich hingegen den DNS von Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) eintrage, funktioniert er stabil. Zudem gibt seit heute Fehlermeldung zum #GeoIP -Update-Link von #maxmind Im Internet finde ich jedoch keine Informationen zu diesem Verhalten. Komisch.

One advantage of using #AdGuardHome is that it provides statistics on the responsiveness of public DNS providers.
For me, #DNS4EU is by far the fastest (10 ms). Perhaps it's because of their geographical proximity, as they're also based in Czechia. The slowest has been #quad9 at 500 ms. I have no idea why.I'm also glad to learn that DoH doesn't have a significant speed penalty. It's 12 ms versus 10 ms for DNS4EU. So you don't have to trade privacy for responsiveness.
What has been your experience with #DNS providers based in Europe? Do you have any recommendations? I'm interested in unfiltered DNS because I do the filtering in AdGuard Home.

The quick fix was to reset the network to point to #Quad9 as a temporary DNS default.
After digging back in a day later, it seems there are multiple points of failure, all beginning on July 31st at 5:32am, and it includes what I'd call #poisoned #blocklists.
My DNS updates its internal cached list from external sources every 2 hours. Blocking reports showed at least 3 separate lists that were tainted, and all were coming from ente(dot)dev.

Received an email by the #NANOG mailing list in which they raise a pretty concerning thing: Apparently, #Spain started to intercept or nullroute certain IP addresses of #CDN providers. The intent is to fight #piracy during #football matches.
Do the people who pass the list of IP addresses even understand the significance of blocking a bunch of #CDN networks of various providers? Seriously?! It #censors access to tens of thousands of legitimate #websites which is blatantly accepted as a #collateral to help out some shady sports association in their #copyright?
How much shadier can a decision be? Since this is a thing, maybe they can think about taking down entire regions in Spain the next football match?
The amount of collateral damage in the name of copyright is ridiculous. The #EuropeanUnion really has to step-up their game in addressing those concerning developments. I read about multiple such blatant decisions so far. Eyeing at you, #Quad9 and #Sony...
